Junior Dog Trainer Camp is a specialty camp for children 10 to 14 years old to work with shelter dogs hands-on each day!

PLEASE NOTE – FOR THE 2020 SUMMER – JUNIOR DOG TRAINER will take place in Markham and select weeks at our Leaside site as well as our Ottawa location.
Program accepts 16 to 18 campers per session. The 2020 Camp season for Junior Dog Trainer is drop-off/pick-up only.
For the 2020 Summer Junior Dog Trainer Camp will take place at the Markham location at – 60 Bullock Drive or the Leaside site – 125 Brentcliffe Road for select sessions.
In Ottawa the program will be held at the Osgoode location – 5721 Osgoode Main Street.
Work hands on with a professional dog trainer and spend the week training dogs in basic obedience and tricks!
Children registered in this program will learn all the key fundamentals of dog training and work hands on each day with the dogs and our trainers to train dogs in basic obedience and tricks.
All dogs have been pre-assessed to ensure that they are safe for the campers to work with.
Campers will work in groups of 3 to 4 to train the dogs over the week long program. They will learn all the ins and outs of positive reinforcement training, how to use a clicker and timing of rewards while training. They will spend two training sessions a day working with their assigned dogs to exercise the, work on training techniques, commands and tricks.
The Junior Dog Trainer program will provide campers with all the fundamentals of basic obedience and working confidently with dogs. The program will provide participating dogs with great obedience skills and manners!
Each week the amazing team of Pawsitively Pets animals will also visit for hands-on animal presentations! We will host a “dog show” for parents on the last day, in the later afternoon for you to come check out all the great things that everyone learned while at camp.
All participants receive a clicker and treat bag with their registration.
OTTAWA – program takes place at our Osgoode location as well as a new West end location – Dragonluck Kennels – 6830 Fernbank Rd, Stittsville and is open to campers ages 8-14 years old.
GTA Based Campers must be 10 years old as of December 31 of the camp year to participate in this program at the Toronto and Markham location.
