*Animal Care takes place at our South Leaside location – 94 Laird Drive or Beaches location – 2298 Queen Street East
Each day is spent learning how to care for the Pawsitively Pets Animals. Providing them with care, socialization, learning to prepare their food, clean their cages, feeding them and ensuring the animal’s daily needs are met.
The Pawsitively Pets Animal Care Camp is a specialized program for campers interested in caring for animals. Children participating in this program will learn all the key fundamentals of animal care and what it would be like to work in the animal care field one day.
This program has all the hands-on components of caring for animals, feeding, grooming, cage cleaning and food prep.
This program is available at our Leaside & Ottawa location only as these are the main offices and the home of our animals. The Animal Care program will allow children to be in charge of caring for the on-site animals as well as work hands-on with a variety of other animals focusing on their care needs and ensuring that they are happy and healthy. The program is offered in week-long sessions.
All participants receive a t-shirt with their registration.

Staff/Leader to camper ratio for Animal Care is 1 staff to 9 campers.
Campers must be 10 years old as of December 31 of the camp year to participate in this program.
