The Animal Explorers camp program is designed for children 6 to 8 (entering grades 1-3 in September.) This program is offered in week-long sessions throughout the GTA & Ottawa. Select weeks & locations have by-the-day registration that opens in May of each year.
The daily schedule is set up for age-appropriate daily activities, interacting hands-on with a wide variety of animals, engaging with them hands-on, and understanding more about them, their care, and how to interact with them safely. Campers will have the chance to spend most of the day learning or interacting with animals. The animals in our program are made up of a wonderful team of rescued animals that range from pocket pets to reptiles and; a variety of birds. The program also promotes responsible pet ownership and the life-long commitment of owning a pet. All of our programming revolves around animals, and also includes animal crafts, enrichment activities, and outdoor physical activity each day. All participants receive a t-shirt with their registration.
All campers must be 6 as of December 31 of the camp year in order to participate in this program.
