Young Pups

2016 SUMMER REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Exploring the love of pets and animals is a great learning experience for children and allows them to build self confidence and a sense of compassion.

Custom programming has been developed for a full a day, one week session to provide children 6 to 7 years old with a hands-on interactive animal experience.  Campers must be 6 years old by December 31st, 2016 in order to attend Young Pups.

There are two program sessions available for Young Pups. Campers can sign up for one or both in whichever order they chose. Each session offers a uniquely different camp experience working with pets and animals. A 10% discount applies to campers who sign up for more than one session.

The Young Pups program provides age appropriate daily activities interacting hands-on with a wide variety of animals, working with them hands on and understanding more about them, their care and how to safely interact with them.  Campers will have the chance to spend the majority of their day working hands-on with all of the different types of animals that visit our program locations.  Animals range from dogs, cats/kittens, pocket pets, reptiles, bugs, zoo animals, exotic animals, and birds.  Each weekly program offers a unique experience with a different group of animals.  Campers will spend the majority of their day interacting with more than 20 visiting animals each day in a hands-on format.  All of our Young Pups programming centres around animals, and also includes animal crafts, animal cooking (pet treats etc) and animal education sessions where we take part in building bird houses, habitats, enrichment toys and many more exciting things for animals! 

Young Pups campers take part in an off-site animal trip each program week.  This allows us to visit and learn about animals that cannot come to camp.  

The Young Pups program is provided in two weekly programs, so that campers may register for more than one camp session and take part in different animal activities.

Camp hours are 9am - 4pm.  Extended Care is available from 8am to 5:30pm at an additional $60 per week or $48 for 4-day and $36 for 3-day sessions

YOUNG PUPS IS OPEN TO KIDS 5 TO 7 YEARS OLD - cost of the Young Pups Program is $340

Camp Ratio for Young Pups is 1 staff to 6 participants.

Busing is available to our Osgoode location from pick-up locations throughout Ottawa on select camp weeks at the cost of $60 per week. 

Young Pupsis available at the following locations - Osgoode and West End

Osgoode - Just minutes south of Manotick - 5721 Main St, Osgoode ON below Osgoode Veterinary Services

West End - Anglican Parish of Huntley Hall, 3774 Carp Road, Carp

Fees

The fee for this program is $340 per full week..  Campers may be enrolled for one or more weeks. A discount of 10% applies to any additional sessions registered for.  (Discounts and promotional discounts are not combined). All fees are subject to HST.

If you are registering online full payment is due at the time of registration.  Our online payment application does not accept deposits.  If you would like to make a deposit for your camp session, you must request a registration form be mailed to you and pay by cheque.  A 50% deposit (per camper/per session) is required at the time of registration, and a post-dated cheque for the balance (including HST) dated 30 days before the start of your camp session.

Discounts are as follows:

25% discount available to those who register and pay in full by December 1 - This discount can only be used by emailing info_ottawa@pawsitivelypetskidscamp.com with your desired sessions.

15% discount available to those who register and pay in full between December 2 and January 31

10% discount available to those who register and pay in full between February 1 and March 31

Sibling, multiple session discounts all stay at 10%.  Families with more than 2 campers from the same immediate family. Discounts and promotional discounts are not combined.

Campers who sign up for more than 3 weeks – 4 sessions or more are eligible for the regular discount for session 1/2 and 20% off for session 3/4 or more.

Payment can be made by cheque, cash, Visa or Mastercard.

 

Pawsitively Pets Refund Policy:

Refunds for camps will be made if requested in writing, by fax or email and will be refunded in accordance with the schedule below. Credit can be obtained for the full amount of the refund to use towards another program if the guidelines are met, and the program date is within the same calendar year.

Refunds on credit card or in the form of a personal cheque are subject to a $25 administrative fee (per camp session/per child,) deducted from the total allowable refund.

Refunds in the form of personal cheque may take up to 4-6 weeks for processing.  Refunds will be issued in the format they were originally paid.

Pawsitively Pets reserves the right to grant exceptions to the stated policy in situations including, but not limited to, illness and death in the immediate family.

No Refunds for Partial Camp Attendance or Illness:

We do not give refunds or credits when someone chooses to leave camp part way through, whether due to illness or any other reason.  Virtually all of our expenses are incurred before the start of the camp week.  Similarly, we cannot give refunds or credits to people who have registered for more than one session if they choose during their first session not to attend another session.  (The exception to this is if we are able to fill the spot with someone on our waiting list.) 

Extreme Circumstances:

(Someone in your family is told they have 6 months to live, your house burns down, etc.) 

By all means, contact us!  We're not heartless.  We may ask for some kind of documentation and explanation, and we'll be more flexible if we hear from you sooner rather than later.  We'll consider all situations individually.  

Busing or Extended Care Refunds:

To receive a refund for busing or extended care notice must be provided in writing 30 days before the beginning of your camp session.

Winter Weather Conditions:

Camp will take place in all weather conditions - should camp need to be cancelled due to extreme weather - campers will be notified the morning of the program and offered a credit for that day.

Refund Guidelines:

Time of request - Up to May 31st, 2015 - 100% REFUND - $25 Admin Fee per camper/per session

30 days notice for refund - 50%

Less than 30 days notice - no refund available
