Exploring the love of pets and animals is a great learning experience for children and allows them to build self confidence and a sense of compassion.
Custom programming has been developed for a full a day, one week session to provide children 8 to 9 years old with a hands on interactive animal experience. Campers must be 8 years old by December 31st of the calendar year in order to attend Cool Catz.
There are two program sessions available for Cool Catz. Campers can sign up for one or both in whichever order they chose. Each session offers a uniquely different camp experience working with pets and animals. A 10% discount applies to campers who sign up for more than one session.
The Cool Catz program provides age appropriate daily activities interacting hands-on with a wide variety of animals, working with them hands on and understanding more about them, their care and how to safely interact with them. Campers will have the chance to spend the majority of their day working hands-on with all of the different types of animals that visit our program locations. Animals range from pocket pets, reptiles, bugs, zoo animals, exotic animals, birds and birds of prey. Each weekly program offers a unique experience with a different group of animals. Campers will spend the majority of their day interacting with more than 20 animals each day in a hands-on format. All of our Cool Catz programming centres around animals, and also includes animal crafts, animal cooking (pet treats etc) and animal education sessions where we take part in building bird houses, habitats, enrichment toys and many more exciting things for animals!
Cool Catz Campers take part in an off-site animal trip on Wednesday's of each program week. This allows us to visit and learn about animals that cannot come to camp.
The Cool Catz program is provided in two weekly programs, so that campers may register for more than one camp session and take part in different animal activities.
Camp hours are 9am - 4pm. Extended Care is available from 8am to 5:30pm at an additional $60 per week. ($48 for 4-day sessions)
COOL CATZ IS OPEN TO KIDS 8 TO 9 YEARS OLD - cost of the COOL CATZ Program is $340 plus HST.
Camp will be closed Monday August 7 due to the Civic Holiday

What is the difference between program 1 & program 2? Each week is uniquely different, we see different animals and take part in different activities. We have set camp up this way so campers can come for two weeks and do two different programs.
Program cost is $340 per session plus HST. Campers may be enrolled for one or more weeks. A discount of 10% applies to any additional sessions registered for. Campers enrolled for 3 or more programs will receive 20% off weeks, 3, 4 or more.If you are registering online full payment is due at the time of registration. Our online payment application does not accept deposits. If you would like to make a deposit for your camp session, you must request a registration form be mailed to you and pay by cheque. A 50% deposit (per camper/per session) is required at the time of registration. Balance of payment is due one month prior to camp date, your initial registration must include a post dated cheque for the balance.Payment can be made by cheque, cash, Visa or Mastercard. Please note, discounts are not combined, our system will calculate the best discount available.
Early Bird Discount Schedule:
25% discount available to those who register and pay in full by November 15
20% discount available to those who register and pay in full between November 16 and December 15
15% discount available to those who register and pay in full between December 16 and January 31
10% discount available to those who register and pay in full between February 1 and March 31
Pawsitively Pets Refund Policy:
Refunds for camps will be made if requested in writing, by fax or email and will be refunded in accordance with the schedule below. Credit can be obtained for the full amount of the refund to use towards another program if the guidelines are met, and the program date is within the same calendar year.
Refunds on credit card or in the form of a personal cheque are subject to a $25 administrative fee (per camp session/per child,) deducted from the total allowable refund.
Refunds in the form of personal cheque may take up to 4-6 weeks for processing. Refunds will be issued in the format they were originally paid.
Pawsitively Pets reserves the right to grant exceptions to the stated policy in situations including, but not limited to, illness and death in the immediate family.
No Refunds for Partial Camp Attendance or Illness:
We do not give refunds or credits when someone chooses to leave camp part way through, whether due to illness or any other reason. Virtually all of our expenses are incurred before the start of the camp week. Similarly, we cannot give refunds or credits to people who have registered for more than one session if they choose during their first session not to attend another session. (The exception to this is if we are able to fill the spot with someone on our waiting list.)
(Someone in your family is told they have 6 months to live, your house burns down, etc.)
By all means, contact us! We're not heartless. We may ask for some kind of documentation and explanation, and we'll be more flexible if we hear from you sooner rather than later. We'll consider all situations individually.
Extended Care Refunds:
To receive a refund for extended care notice must be provided in writing 30 days before the beginning of your camp session.
Winter Weather Conditions:
Camp will take place in all weather conditions - should camp need to be cancelled due to extreme weather - campers will be notified the morning of the program and offered a credit for that day.
