It is all wags and wiggles at Pawsitively Pets, and the excitement is building for some summer fun at our highly successful one-of-a-kind summer camp!

JenniferA camp counselor in her early years, and a life-long passion for pets and animals, led Jennifer Ego to a career working with animals. Starting the registered charity www.k9RescueMe.com seven years ago and working in the veterinary industry, Jennifer was committed to creating a camp that would provide kids with all the wonderful animal and pet connections that can be so rewarding.

"What better way to put two passions together, my love of animals and my commitment to educate children on responsible pet ownership and the wonders of pets and animals," she says. This small and wonderful idea has grown into an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and animals, and create a lifetime of memories.

LauraI have always loved being around animals ever since I could remember. So, at seventeen I decided to work at veterinary hospitals as an animal care attendant and then a technician for the past 16 years. However, in the past eight years I have gradually completed a graduate degree in environmental studies and education. And I will be attending teacher’s college in September to further my education. For the past three years, I have worked as an environmental educator with children from kindergarten to grade 12. I love teaching children about the environment, especially the animals that we share the planet with. I have finally found a career that has combined both of my loves and cannot wait to pass on the passion to help animals and the environment in which we all live.

LindseyI have had a lifelong love for animals mainly because they are an unconditional friend that always know the right thing to say. They listen without interruption and love without question. I currently have a gecko named Mertle. She is five years old, enjoys watching movies, and eating. She doesn't need much but loves getting attention and affection (mostly from me). My favourite dog breed is a Saint Bernard because they are so big and friendly. I hope to one day have one of my own but for now Mertle will do. Working at Pawsitively Pets since its conception has provided me with an opportunity to take all the things I love - pets, kids and learning - and bundle it up into one great job!
